Dr. Steed did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University, graduating with honors as a member of the National Honor Society. His doctorate was earned at the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton, where he was the recipient of several clinical awards and graduated with honors in 2001. Dr. Steed then pursued an additional year of study with the Eye Care Associates of Nevada, completing a residency in disease and surgical comanagement.

Dr. Steed also enjoys serving in his church and community, offering free seminars to educate people on the effects of diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, and other systemic disorders on the eye.

In spare time he enjoys golf, SCUBA, photography, hiking, running, and travel. (For now though most of his time is spent in the new practice and with his wife and two boys.)

Holly Steed fills several roles at Insight Eye Care: office manager, accountant, optician, receptionist, technician, custodian, and baby manager. She has her bachelor's degree in Music Education and was a high school choir teacher in Las Vegas for over 3 years before she and Doctor Steed opened his practice together. In addition to Insight Eye Care and being a full time mom, she still finds time to continue her choral directing at church and with the Clark County Children's Choir, a non-profit choir for the valley's kids.

Joshua enjoys getting his eyes checked, constructing complex rail patterns with Thomas the Train tracks, browsing the internet (noggin.com is a favorite), and playing with Cameron. He enjoys amusement park rides, spending time with Mom and Dad, riding bikes, and singing in the Clark County Children's Choir. He is still a proficient climber and likes to methodically approach each and every ascent up the climbing wall.

When he is in the office "working" he still enjoys reviewing Optomap images with patients, helping organize the lab, and working closely with Holly.

Andi is our office chameleon. Not only will you notice occasional hair changes but her eyeglass collection rivals that of Elton John (but she pulls it off better).

You'll see Andi behind the front desk, working in the lab, helping people as an optician, and keeping things running smoothly. Her organizational and personal skills makes her a perfect candidate as our office assistant manager. 

Zaira ia a key cog in the gears of Insight Eye Care.  Shequickly nd effectively prepares patients for Dr. Steed.  Her dedication to the practice, work ethic, and endess energy all contribute to a smooth running practice.  In her spare time she manages her family, cooks on hotplagtes, and puts the world in order.

Newest Addition to the Steed family!  Arriving safely October 1, 2010, at a whopping 10 lbs 6 oz she is a formidable opponent for her three older brothers for Mom's attention.  She enjoys sleeping, waking up to eat, then sleeping again.  When she's done with that she takes a nap.

We're grateful for her safe arrival and addition to the family and look forward to many years ahead of fun!
